Recent studies have shown that sitting for long periods of time is no good for our health. There are many health issues that can crop up because of staying seated for a long time. These include neck and back issues because the neck compresses more while sitting. Humans were not meant to remain sedentary for very long periods of time. Our bodies are in an unnatural state while sitting in a chair, despite how relaxing or good it may feel at the time. It's good for us to get up, stand up, walk around or do some light exercises every once in a while. Take away the fact that eye strain is another issue that people who stare at computer screens for a long time typically develop, but taking a break from the computer is a very good thing.
